I've been gradually taking more photos on film during engagement sessions and weddings. The photos above are from our latest wedding, Mary and Kyle, and I had to share since I just got the scans back yesterday! I'm often asked what these unfamiliar looking things are (a light meter and FILM camera) when I pull them out of my bag. Film doesn't have the instant gratification of digital photos. When I first started using a film camera again, Tom would often laugh at me looking to the back of the camera in muscle memory from our digital cameras. Film makes me slow down and think about how I'm composing each photo before I click the shutter. Right now, film is a special project and I love when there's time during the wedding day to work in some film photos. I'm enjoying doing  personal work, like our trip to Peru and family weekends in film. I'm loving what I'm seeing so far and can't wait to integrate more film into our shooting! Look for me with a funny looking light meter and old camera coming to a wedding near you.
