Liz + Kevin | San Francisco Wedding
It isn't every day one of your most dear friends gets married. Tom and I have known Liz for nearly ten years (how is that possible?!), so it was truly an honor to be asked to photograph this wedding day. I remember the first time Liz told me about this guy at work that she'd been set up with. Immediately, I could tell this was an intentional, purposeful relationship that might lead up to a wedding. Liz and Kevin work for the same ministry in San Francisco, which is how they met, despite their hometowns being about 30 minutes apart back in Wisconsin. It's so cool to see how their story was meant to be stitched together by God's grace, to make a bigger impact together than they could ever have alone. When I was photographed their engagement session, Liz and Kevin tried to convince me the weather isn't always perfect in San Francisco, but I've yet to see a bad weather day there. The bridesmaids wore beautiful purple saris (fabric selected by a family member on a trip to India). Liz and Kevin had their first look at the park where Kevin proposed in August, which is also in the neighborhood where they both work with a local ministry. Their ceremony and reception were in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. The reception venue, WineWorks, was so unique and the vibe totally fit their style. After a delicious dinner, heartfelt speeches, and some dancing, Kevin and Liz whisked away into the night after a sparkler send-off.
Thank you, Liz and Kevin, for allowing us to document your wedding day. It was a true honor to photograph the beginning of your journey together as husband and wife!
