A few months ago, I got together with Kaitlyn & Derek for their beautiful maternity session (recently featured on The Fount Collective). After getting to photograph their engagement session, wedding, and maternity session, I couldn't have been more excited to also get to meet their daughter, Emerson, for her newborn session. Just two weeks old, we spent some time together to capture this very special time for this new family of three.
Last weekend, we roadtripped down to Des Moines to photograph Taylor & Connor's wedding day. Since we aren't in Iowa all that often, it was fun to explore Des Moines a bit and get to know the city that these two call home. Tom and I always enjoy learning more about our couples throughout the wedding day, since friends and family are great storytellers during the getting ready part of the day and then of course, in evening toasts. Taylor and Connor have been together for a long time, and engaged for over two years, so this celebration was a great kick-off to their married life!
Taylor and Connor had a sweet first look together before jumping into photos with family and their bridal party. After the ceremony, the bridal party headed to their own cocktail time at a nearby bar before the reception. The dance was hopping as we headed back to Minnesota, a fun evening underway! On top of planning the wedding, Taylor also planned a honeymoon which NO ONE knew the destination of - I am dying to know where they went!? Enjoy some favorites of their day!

When Casey & Andy chose their wedding venue, they went out on a limb by booking a brand new venue that wasn't yet done with construction. Based on the renderings of Hotel Landing in downtown Wayzata, this adventurous couple signed on to create the perfect Lake Minnetonka wedding day. It turned out to be such a great decision, because the venue design and location was ideal for what they had envisioned.
Casey had some special first looks with her dad and bridesmaids, and Andy had a first look with his mom before Casey and Andy saw each other on the big day. After their ceremony, the wedding party headed to Maynard's in Excelsior for some cocktails before heading to Hotel Landing for the reception. What a fun time just to relax with friends and family!
After dinner, Hotel Landing drove us in the hotel Jaguar (no. big. deal!) to the dock at CoV for some sunset photos together. I always love it when our couples can steal away a few quiet moments amidst the busy day to just be together. Minimal 'directing' happens during this time as Casey and Andy just chatted and snuggled while the sun set behind them. This day couldn't have been more lovely and beautiful! So excited for these newlyweds and all that's ahead!

I'm so excited to share Miranda & Mason's engagement session today. Miranda is the sister of a previous lovely bride (Kaitlyn!), so it's an extra special honor to get to work together again!
Mason proposed to Miranda earlier this summer while they were hiking along the ocean in Malibu. They're also adjusting to long-distance since Mason recently moved to Washington, DC. We took advantage of a weekend he was home to get together for their gorg engagement session. Miranda & Mason love modern and minimalist design elements, so downtown Minneapolis was the perfect place to find this aesthetic. Miranda had a vision for a photo through glass, which ended up so cute as these two sipped coffee and giggled together. The whole session is just too pretty! Enjoy just a few favorites of our time together!
After photographing Alyssa & Kyle's engagement session last fall, we have been eagerly anticipating their wedding day in the northwoods of Wisconsin. The setting of their day couldn't have been more beautiful - a ceremony by the lake and a dock that made for some seriously gorgeous moments of this lovely couple.
Alyssa & Kyle had so many special moments throughout their wedding day. Alyssa did a first look with her dad right before she went to see Kyle. I love the moments of Alyssa walking down the staircase to her dad, beaming up at her. The first look between Alyssa and Kyle was so sweet, too! Basically, if you're a groom and shed a tear at any point in the day, you are a gem. Kyle's reaction to seeing Alyssa was just lovely (you have to see it)!
I could go on and on about how great these two and their families are, but you'll get the idea better if you just look at the photos. Congrats to this sweet couple!
